5 Best Restaurants Near Treasure Island Florida

One of the questions I get asked the most by guests staying at my condo is, “Where should we eat tonight?” And honestly, I love that question.

If you are looking for the best restaurants near Treasure Island Florida, you are in very good hands. Living and hosting here has given me the chance to try just about every local spot over the years, and I always recommend the places I personally return to again and again.

One of the things I love most about our Treasure Island condo is the location. You can enjoy an incredible dinner, watch the sunset, and be back on your private balcony within minutes. It makes evenings feel effortless.

Here are my personal favorites.

1. Middle Grounds Grill

Whenever guests ask me for a reliable seafood dinner, Middle Grounds Grill is usually the first place I mention.

This restaurant was named after the famous Florida Middle Grounds fishing area located about 100 miles offshore, and it has been a Gulf Boulevard staple for decades. It actually started in 1973 as Robby’s Pancake House, opened by the Coover family in the same location.

Today, it has evolved into an upscale yet welcoming seafood and steakhouse that has even been recognized by Florida Trend Magazine as one of the Top 500 Restaurants in Florida.

When I go, I usually order grouper, because they prepare it beautifully in different styles depending on the evening. The mango nut crusted grouper and the lemon infused crab cakes are standouts. If you prefer something heartier, their filet mignon is excellent as well.

The atmosphere feels casually elegant. Nautical murals, a large fish tank, and live music on many evenings give it personality without making it feel formal. The staff treats you like a regular, even if it is your first visit. Complimentary valet parking is also a welcome bonus, especially since street parking along Gulf Boulevard can be limited.

For me, it is perfect for a celebration dinner, a date night, or simply when you want a memorable seafood experience close to the condo.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 10925 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
  • Phone Number: (727) 360-4253
  • Tue–Thu & Sun: 4:30 PM–10 PM | Fri–Sat: 4:30 PM–10:30 PM | Closed Mondays
  • Reservations recommended on weekends
  • Closed New Year's Day, Super Bowl Sunday, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas

And if you have room for dessert, ask about Robby’s Famous Pancake Berry Stack. It is a sweet nod to the restaurant’s original beginnings.

2. Caddy's Treasure Island

If you want true beachfront dining, this is where I send people.

Caddy’s captures everything guests imagine when they picture dining on the Florida Gulf Coast. I always suggest arriving about 45 minutes before sunset, ordering a frozen cocktail, and requesting a table facing west. Trust me on this one.

During the day, it is relaxed and family friendly. In the evening, it becomes more lively while still feeling approachable. The menu includes fresh seafood, burgers, and shareable appetizers that are perfect after a long beach day. Many of my guests tell me that sunset dinner at Caddy’s ends up being one of the highlights of their entire trip.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 9000 W Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
  • Phone Number: (727) 360-4993
  • Open daily: 9 AM – 9 PM
  • Beach cabanas are complimentary with a minimum food and beverage spend.

3. Sloppy Joe's Treasure Island

If you are traveling with friends or just want something upbeat and energetic, I often recommend Sloppy Joe’s.

Located at the Bilmar Beach Resort directly on the sand, this large beachfront restaurant carries the fun spirit of Key West. There are multiple outdoor decks, a beachfront bar, and sunset views that feel almost too perfect to be real.

The menu is broad and very family friendly. I like their grouper sandwich and the lobster mac and cheese. They also offer daily drink specials and a genuinely good happy hour.

You can literally walk from the beach to your table, which makes it one of the easiest and most fun dining experiences near our condo.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 10650 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
  • Phone Number: (727) 367-1600
  • Mon–Thu & Sun: 8 AM – 9 PM | Fri–Sat: 8 AM – 10 PM
  • Own parking lot available

4. Ricky T's Bar & Grille

If you ask me where locals actually eat, Ricky T’s is the answer.

This neighborhood bar and grill does not try to impress tourists. It simply does what it does well. The food is solid, the drinks are cold, the prices are fair, and there is live music almost every day of the week.

It feels authentic and unpolished in the best possible way. Regulars know their orders by heart, and the staff genuinely makes newcomers feel welcome.

The grouper sandwich has a loyal following, and many locals will confidently tell you it is the best on the island. I also recommend checking their daily specials, which often feature fresh Gulf catches.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 10601 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
  • Phone Number: (727) 363-7425
  • Open daily: 11 AM - 12 AM
  • Live music almost daily
  • Street parking available

I always suggest checking their Facebook page before going to see who is playing that evening.

5. Gigi's Italian Restaurant

By day four or five of a beach vacation, even the most devoted seafood lovers sometimes crave pasta. That is when I recommend Gigi’s.

This Treasure Island favorite has been around since 1967, and it feels like stepping into a classic family run Italian restaurant. Generations of visitors have made it part of their vacation tradition, and the number of returning guests says everything.

The menu is classic Italian American comfort food. Handmade pasta dishes, chicken parmesan, veal, fresh baked bread, and rich sauces that taste like they have been simmering for decades.

It is cozy, consistent, and refreshingly unpretentious. No trendy cocktail menu, no flashy presentation, just honest food served warmly.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 105 Treasure Island Causeway
  • Phone Number: (727) 360-6905
  • Open for dinner 4 PM – 9 PM
  • Reservations recommended on weekends
