Gulf Front Park sits right in this zone, offering ADA beach access, restrooms, volleyball courts, and chair rentals. It is the most fully equipped public access on the island.

Sunset Beach feels more residential. Fewer large hotels. More private homes and smaller condo buildings. The energy is slower, especially outside of peak spring season.
The scenic boardwalk loop through the dunes offers one of the best sunset walks on the island. On Sunday evenings, the drum circle at Gulf Front Park is just a short drive north, but Sunset Beach itself stays peaceful.
If your idea of a vacation is morning coffee on a balcony, long beach walks, and minimal noise, this is your section. It is still close to everything, but it feels intentionally removed from the mid island buzz.
The northern section, often referred to as Sunshine Beach, sits closer to John's Pass Village & Boardwalk.
This area offers beautiful views toward the pass and slightly fewer crowds compared to mid island. It is a good option if you want easier access to John’s Pass restaurants, fishing charters, and dolphin tours while still staying on Treasure Island.
