Where to eat breakfast in Treasure Island, Florida

If you are searching for the best breakfast spots in Treasure Island Beach, you are about to start your mornings the right way.

There is something special about breakfast on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The air feels softer, the coffee tastes better, and the whole island runs on beach time. Whether you are heading out for a beach day on Treasure Island Beach, a dolphin cruise near Johns Pass, or you are simply enjoying a slow morning on the balcony, the right breakfast makes the entire day feel easier.

After hosting guests in our beachfront condo for years, these are the breakfast and brunch places I recommend again and again, especially for visitors staying along Gulf Boulevard.

1. Foxy’s Cafe

If you want a real local breakfast in Treasure Island Florida, start here. Foxy’s Cafe has been a Treasure Island staple since 1982, and it still feels like the kind of place where everyone eventually becomes a regular.

The menu is classic diner comfort done properly. Pancakes that come out fluffy and hot, French toast with powdered sugar, biscuits and gravy, and omelets that are so stuffed they barely close. If you are feeding kids, hungry beach walkers, or a whole group of friends, this is the place that “just works” with no overthinking required.

One reason guests love it is how relaxed it feels. You can show up in flip flops, you can bring the dog for the patio, and nobody is rushing you out the door.

2. Middle Grounds Grill Weekend Brunch.

Most people know Middle Grounds Grill for dinner, but their weekend brunch in Treasure Island is a hidden gem.

The same kitchen known for Gulf seafood and fresh ingredients brings that focus to brunch. Expect seafood omelets, crab cake eggs Benedict, lemon infused French toast, and Bloody Marys that arrive looking like a meal of their own.

Live music during brunch hours adds energy without overwhelming the space. Nautical murals, a glowing fish tank, and attentive staff make it feel special but still welcoming.

If you are celebrating something during your stay on Treasure Island Beach, this is the elevated brunch option.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 10925 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
  • Phone Number: (727) 360-4253
  • Open daily: 4:30 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Reservations recommended
  • Free valet parking

3. Sea Dog Brewing Company

I know what you are thinking: a brewery for breakfast? Hear me out. Sea Dog Brewing in Treasure Island is one of the most versatile waterfront spots on Gulf Blvd, and it is a solid choice when your group wants a bigger menu and a “let’s make this a moment” vibe.

The views over the Intracoastal are the real bonus here, especially if you grab outdoor seating. It is also convenient if your day includes wandering Gulf Boulevard, popping into shops, or heading toward Johns Pass afterward.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 9610 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
  • Phone Number: (727) 954-7805

4. The Frog Pond

I almost did not include The Frog Pond for selfish reasons it is one of those places the regulars prefer to keep to themselves. But it is too good to leave off, so here we are.

Located at 7390 Gulf Blvd in St. Pete Beach, right next door to Grove Surf Cafe, The Frog Pond is a no-frills diner decorated with exactly as many frog knickknacks as you’d expect from a place called The Frog Pond, and it serves some of the most generous breakfast portions in the area at prices that seem almost apologetically reasonable.

We’re talking biscuits and gravy that taste like someone’s grandmother made them, pancakes the size of dinner plates, and eggs cooked exactly the way you ask. It has almost no online presence, no flashy branding, and absolutely no need for either.

It’s the breakfast spot for people who care more about what’s on the plate than what the plate looks like. Go once and you’ll be one of the regulars who almost didn’t want to share it.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 5200 Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach
  • Phone Number: (727) 363-7205
  • Open daily: 7:30 AM – 1 PM

5. Waffle House

Some mornings you need breakfast immediately. Early dolphin tour. Kids awake at sunrise. Fishing charter. Or you just want something fast and familiar that does not require a wait.

That is Waffle House. It is open 24 hours and located right in Treasure Island, which makes it a practical “save the morning” option.

They serve waffles, eggs, bacon, and hash browns that hit exactly the way they’re supposed to every single time. The hash browns, customizable in more combinations than you’d think possible scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, topped, diced are genuinely great and I will die on that hill.

Practical information you should know:

  • Location: 11185 Gulf Blvd, Treasure Island
  • Phone Number: (727) 363-1552
  • Open 24 hours

What makes breakfast in Treasure Island Florida special is the pace.

Most spots are within walking distance or a short drive from Gulf Boulevard. You are never fighting city traffic or navigating crowded downtown areas. You eat, you enjoy, and you are back on the beach within minutes.

When you stay in our Treasure Island beachfront condo, you can choose between cooking breakfast in your full kitchen or walking to one of these local favorites.

Some mornings call for pancakes out. Others call for coffee on the balcony with a Gulf view. Having both options is part of the experience.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium Florida: Why I Always Recommend It

If you are staying near Treasure Island or Indian Shores, one of the first family attractions I suggest is Clearwater Marine Aquarium. It is easy to pair with a full day out on the coast.
